Well I am not even going to dignify snake at the top with a response LOL. umm for somebody who mains as captain falcon he sure is low lol. i think lucario & diddy koshould be a little bit lower (like in the low section lol) and that bowser, kriby, and luigi should be moved up to the middle. i think King DeDeDe should be a little bit higher and that ganondorf should easily make it to the high tier, if not top! other then that you did a pretty good job. im going 2 have 2 give this on a 6.5/10. - Haha the reason why Snake is on the top is because of his many techs and combos. He's done GREAT in the tourneys; almost receiving first everywhere! C. Falcons bottom because of his bad tourney results and terrible comboing ability. Knee got nerfed, slower dasher, can't 2nd jump his Falcon Kick, etc. I'm sorry your a Ganondorf mainer, but he too has little comboing ability. Ok don't shoot me but I don't believe in tier lists. The way most people do these things is based off of their preferences in a character. As a result, they would do better with that character and consider them to just be better overall. Kind of like how you put Snake at the top and Captain Falcon at the bottom. Yeah, in certain aspects Snake is better than Captain Falcon, but Captain Falcon excels in areas Snake does not. I think all characters are pretty balanced, and it's the players skills and preferences that determine the outcome of these tier lists. Shade487z (talk) 04:40, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- *Reloads shotgun...* Nah I'm just kidding. Although I agree with you on some parts, I think tiers DO exist. Sure C. Falcon has more speed than Snake, I'm not saying that's true. But the thing is what if 2 players in an actual tournament match fought? Let's say the ratio of wins to losses for the Snake player is 10:1 and for the C. Falcon its 1:10. And say this occurs in other tourneys as well. Tiers does not define which character is better than the other, but it just shows a reference of who'd win if 2 players in the same metagame brawled. Well, it looks pretty good except for three characters: Snake, Kirby, and Diddy Kong. Snake has no business being in the top half og the tier list, let alone the number one character. His smashes may be powerful, but they are easily avoided and are quite slow. It's good that his recovery is long, because that's all he's going to be doing during a match with a good player. His mines are easily avoided, and his projectiles move slowly and leave him quite vulnerable. As for Kirby, how do you have him so low. If you look at the talk page for my tier list I give 13 reasons why Kirby is top tier. While I might understand you not feeling that he's a true top tier, I don't see any way that he is as low as you have him. Diddy Kong is also much better than you rate him. His bananas can eliminate and opponent's ground game and force them to take to the air. Add this to Diddy's superb air game and great recovery and he can easily defeat many characters. - I want you to keep in mind that I base my tier list on how good the characters been doing in tournaments and how their match-ups against other characters are. Snake has been winning tournaments everywhere. If you look up the tourney results in the Smash Boards, I bet 90% of the time 1st place will either be Snake or Meta Knight. As his moveset... Snake has a very potential use for Wavebouncing. His U-Smash can lock and opponent once you've dashed attacked. His mines can be easily avoided, but they can be used to space alot. Combining the mines with the C4s and the Missile Launcher just creates a big spacing game. His missile is also great for edge-guarding, stalling, spacing, almost everything except recovery. Against a fast-paced character like C. Falcon, it'll be very hard for him to reach Snake with all the projectiles in the way. Kirby overall is just a meh character to me. To be honest, I've just decided to place him randomly. But you're reasons for why he's top tier convinces me to bump him up a little. As for Diddy Kong, his tournament results have been mowing down awhile... ItemHazard (talk) 05:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Ugh.. I really don't want to bump up Snake. Upper middle tier is good enough, right? Lucas has a wide array of advanced techniques, and I really feel like he's a very useful character overall. Olimar... he's iffy. C. Falcon may have been nerfed, but he still has some wicked combo potential. You should see how Zmario plays with him! - I've already explained Snake. See Above ^^^^. Lucas is one the characters that can easily be comboed. Sure he has alot of advance techniques, but most of them are for recovery. You need some offense attack techniques, and the best I can think of is his Wavebouncing. I don't have Wifi...yet. But Zmario must be a pretty good C. Falcon if he beated you. He beat me a couple times, but I won the vast majority of matches we played. He won 2 out of about 8 matches. Still, there are some vids on YouTube that have Zmario vs. JtM, and his C. Falcon is beast. - GalaxiaD (talk) 18:06, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Hmmmm... you're tier list is pretty good. The only things I might change would be Zelda and Pikachu should both be moved a little lower, Captain Falcon and Samus could be higher, Ike should be higher, and the "p" in Jigglypuff should be lowercase :). Maxiscool (talk) 02:03, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok this is what I think about your tier list:
- Snake cannot be number 1. I know lots of people have won tournaments with him but he is slow and some attacks leave him open, such as his side B. He has a good recovery but can be easily spiked.
- Wario should be lower. He is kind of wierd to control.
- Both Mario and Luigi are at least middle. Excellent combos, good at edgeguarding and average speed.
- Sheik, Sonic and Cap. Falcon on bottom? Despite of not being as good as in melee, Sheik and Cap. Falcon are still pretty nice. And Sonic is also a good character.
- Pokemon Trainer requires to master three different characters so he should be a little lower.
- Bowser and Yoshi higher. They have improved a lot.
- Ness and Lucas lower. Recoveries are easily disrupted.
- Diddy Kong lower. Awful recovery and easily knocked out.
- Ganondorf a bit higher.

yes very much so. lol im a troublemaker. I HATE SNAKE. HE RUINED BRAWL. NOT NO MENTION IF YOU SCREW UP WHEN YOUR TRYING TO RECOVER YOU CAN END UP USING THAT MISSLE THING AND DYING. his recovery doesn't damage (very easily anyways) and he doesn't belong in a ssb game. neithe does sonic but i am easier to forgive that since he i a more nintendo character now. What can I say? I love browsing through here. This place is filled to the brim with Smash info. And I'm also a real neat freak. If a cleanup tag isn't put on just so, I fix it. If I see any sort of grammatical, spelling, or punctuational errors, I fix them. If I see a joke page, I mark it for speedy deletion. I go through a good number of articles, and I always have my eye on the recent changes box. With traits like these, I just got to make more edits to the main namespace and wait a few more months before I become an admin!
