Smasher:Boof

[edit] Background

Boof is an Amateur smasher from Parsippany, New Jersey who has received local fame for his diverse play abilities and his spontaneous play style. His name is a play on his real last name "Booth" and also on the word "boof" meaning to have dominance over another in the gaming world. (i.e. "I'm going to BOOF u!") While placing in at least semifinal's in all tournaments attended, he still lacks the ability to play at a high competitive level. Though he plays multiple characters quite frequently, it would incorrect to say he "mains" all characters, as of late his favorites have been Sheik, Falco, Captain Falcon, and Doctor Mario. He plays for and against members of P-Town Smashers, which can be found on Facebook. They are very open and will play against anybody regardless of skill level.

[edit] Trivia

Boof also has a theory that a person’s character they choose for the first time playing the game is a direct reflection of their personality, similar to Ken's Peach Theory, it is as follows:

  • Mario, Luigi- People new to the gaming scene in general
  • Doctor Mario, Ice Climbers- People who could care less about the game they are playing
  • Bowser, DK- People who are not intelligent
  • Captain Falcon, Samus- People who will indefinitely be horrible and show little improvement over time
  • Link, Young Link- Good-hearted people by nature
  • Fox, Falco- Well liked people
  • Zelda, Peach- Females or feminine males
  • Mr. Game and Watch, Ganondorf- XBOX and Playstation gamers
  • All Pokemon, Kirby, and Ness- Young Children or Immature people
  • Marth, Roy- Asians, Nerds, or Females
