Geodude
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Geodude (イシツブテ, Ishitsubute in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
[edit] Creature Description
Geodude is a small boulder creature with long harms attached to its spherical body/head. In the in-game Pokédex's words, it is commonly found in mountains and fields half-buried into the ground. It is impossible to distinguish from rocks, so people such as hikers may step on it without noticing, which makes it angry if it was awake. It does not notice, however, if it is stepped on while asleep. Most people may not notice, but a closer look should reveal that there are many Geodude around. It uses its arms to hoist itself up and over as it climbs up mountain paths, and it rolls downhill in search of food. The longer an individual lives, the more its edges are chipped and worn away, making it more rounded in appearance. However, its heart will remain hard, craggy, and rough as always. Proud of its sturdy body, it and other Geodude bash against each other in contests to prove whose is harder. Some people have hurled Geodude at each other in a snowball fight.
In the games, it evolves into Graveler at level 25, then evolves to Golem when traded to another trainer. In the anime, it appears to have the ability to float around.
[edit] In Super Smash Bros. Melee
Geodude makes one minor appearance in this game.
[edit] As a stage element
A giant balloon of Geodude (in actuality the 3D model of Geodude used in Pokémon Stadium for Nintendo 64) is one of the many floating and bending "platforms" that comprise the Poké Floats stage.
